Our place needs a lot of work. So along with my sister's wedding coming up...my poor husband is going to have pick up as many shifts as his body can handle so we can bring in extra income for the wedding, and now to repairs on our household. I am really grateful for him and the things he does for us.
But I am excited cuz in 2 weeks my mom is coming up and that will always definitely brighten my day. And it is kinda nice to talk to someone who isn't involved in all the stress and yuckiness that sometimes clouds our days. It will be a nice "mental vacation". And i love when my mom comes up becuz she is a Emmett Hog...which means she just loves on Emmett and never puts him down. It really makes me happy. And I am even more happy becuz Savannah is finally at the age where she remembers people and she knows who her Gramma Janet is. And when I told her Gramma Janet was coming to her house, she gets all excited! yay! finally!
This week we are also going to sign Savannah up for some summer preschool classes and gymnastics! woot woot! That's right...following in Mommy's footsteps. Heck yes! Savannah is definitely a ball of energy and very rambunctious. We went to Lucille's for Mother's Day and she was so well behaved it was the cutest thing. But the next night, she was whiney, talked back, had attitude. She is definitely an emotional and sensitive girl...but so was I and I am almost sorry she took after me in that sense. (it must be payback for how I treated my mom).
News with Emmett is good. For a few months there he was really making some progress. He sits up all by himself and plays with toys, heavy toys, can push a ball, switch toys with hands...he is making lots of babbling noises and has a whine like no other. We are attempting sign language but even that gets confusing for him. I know he is frustrated and that just makes me sad. We are having problems with him bearing weight on his arms. He doesn't like it and we do all the exercises but it seems like he just doesn't get it. Without bearing weight...he can't transition from sitting to laying down and vice versa, and he can't crawl. It has been difficult to say the least. But something we were excited about was we went to Sushi the other night for my FIL's bday and we put Emmett in a high chair! We had to use a blanket still, but He loved it and loved being part of the table. He is 16 months today (1 yr and 4 months) and still in a carrier; but he is small and so he still needs to be in one. He doesn't want too...i can tell. and it is killing my back. I think i need to find a nice umbrella stroller that he will be okay in. (we tried the cheap umbrella stroller that we had for Savannah...yah, not safe enough for him..boo).
Anywho....I will get back to blogging as my time will be more scheduled. yayness.
